Sickle Cell Disease and Music: A Talk with Afrobeats Artist Adekunle Gold
On September 11, 2025, Adekunle Gold visited NYU School of Global Public Health to launch the BEAT-SCD collaboration between New York University and the Adekunle Gold Foundation. During a panel discussion, Gold spoke with students about his personal experience living with Sickle Cell Disease and how he uses his platform to raise awareness about the disease.
